SEM Italy is a Center for Double Exceptionality recognized by the Bridges Graduate School of Cognitive Diversity, California, USA. The 2e Lab of SEM Italy has, exclusively for Italy, the innovative tools developed by the prestigious American center, Suite of ToolsTM, for the profiling of doubly exceptional students who, on the one hand, have high potential and levels of excellence in one or more fields and, on the other, have an atypical developmental trajectory – learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, genetic syndromes or behavioral disorders.

At SEM Italy's 2e Lab, Dr. Lara Milan, 2e Specialist trained at the Bridges Graduate School of Cognity Diversity with top American experts in double exceptionality, offers families a personalized profiling service for doubly exceptional students that allows them to gather useful information for teachers to draft a Doubly Differentiated Educational Plan, as developed in the volume 'La Doppiaeccellenzatà.
